Reference: VSSC Advertisement No. 327 published on 01.07.2023 with the closing date of submission of online applications being 17.00 hrs on 21.07.2023 for recruitment of 04 posts of Scientist/Engineer-SD (Post No. 1503 to 1505) and 57 posts of Scientist/Engineer-SC (Post No.1506 to 1520).

Existing

1.     Those who possess the required qualification as on the last date of application (as on 21.07.2023) and those candidates who are going to complete the required qualification in the academic year 2022-23 are also eligible to apply, provided final degree is available by 31.08.2023 and their aggregate is 60% marks or CGPA 6.5/10 for ME/M.Tech course and 65% or CGPA 6.84/10 for B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc./ course (average of all semesters for which results are available).

2.     M.E / M.Tech should be in First Class with an aggregate minimum of 60% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA / CPI grading of a minimum of 6.5 on a 10 scale or equivalent.

3.     B.E / B.Tech / M.Sc should be in First  Class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA / CPI grading of a minimum of 6.84 on a 10 scale or equivalent.

4.     B.Sc. should be in First Class with an aggregate minimum of 60% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA / CPI grading of a minimum of 6.5 on a 10 scale or equivalent.

Amended

1.     Those who possess the required qualification as on the last date of application (as on 30.01.2024) and those candidates who are going to complete the required qualification in the academic year 2023-24 are also eligible to apply, provided final degree is available by 31.03.2024 and their aggregate is 60% marks or CGPA 6.5/10 for ME/M.Tech course and 65% or CGPA 6.84/10 for B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc./ course (average of all semesters for which results are available).

2.     M.E/M.Tech should be with an aggregate minimum of 60% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA / CPI grading of a minimum of 6.5 on a 10 scale or equivalent.

3.     B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc should be with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA / CPI grading of a minimum of 6.84 on a 10 scale or equivalent. AMIE/Grad IETE candidates should possess minimum of 65% marks of CGPA 6.84 on a 10 point scale in Section B alone (Those candidates who have registered for AMIE prior to 31.05.2013 only are eligible).

4.     B.Sc. should be with an aggregate minimum of 60% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA / CPI grading of a minimum of 6.5 on a 10 scale or equivalent.

In addition, a following clause has been included in the corrigendum

12. In the event of a tie during the final empanelment, the inter-se merit of candidates will be decided based on the following tie-breakers to be applied one after the other on need basis:

i)       Marks scored in the written test

ii)      Marks scored in essential qualification

iii)    Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher

A.     All valid applicants will be called for written test. Written test venues will be in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Ernakulam, Hyderabad & Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates can apply for multiple posts, subject to conditions. However, candidates applying for multiple posts should select same written test centre location.

A.     All valid applicants will be called for written test. Written test venues will be in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Dehra Dun, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Lucknow & Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates can apply for multiple posts, subject to conditions. However, candidates applying for multiple posts should select same written test centre location.

 

The website has been re-enabled for submission of online applications from 16.01.2024 to 30.01.2024. A box titled “Others” has been added for the candidates to enter the exact course name as per their Degree Certificate, where its nomenclature differs from the advertised qualification. The same shall be reviewed by the Selection Committee prior to interview for suitable consideration and decision of the Committee shall be final

All valid applicants who have already applied earlier against the posts under reference need not apply again.
